This warranty applies only to the original purchaser. If during the warranty period any defects in materials or workmanship appear, House of Note will, at its option, repair or replace the instrument without charge to the purchaser. Notwithstanding the foregoing, this warranty:
- does not apply if the serial number (if any), or the label has been altered or tampered with, and
- does not cover any defects in the finish or any defects resulting from wear and tear, misuse, improper operation, accidental, negligent, intentional damage, shipping, modification of the instrument, or from changes in temperature of humidity (including cracking of wood or finishes).
Parts Covered:
- Cracks to the body will be repaired if it is determined that it was caused by “settling in” or “shifting” of the woods. Neck, scroll and fingerboard are warranted against cracking and warping.
- Previous repairs done to used instruments.
- Trimmings are warranted with the exception of strings, bridge, soundpost and bow hair.
- Bow shafts and parts of wood bows are warranted against breakage due to a defect in materials or workmanship at the discretion of House of Note.
- Cases are warranted against defects in workmanship and materials for a period of one year from date of purchase.
- Repair or replacement of parts not covered by warranty are subject to normal shop charges.
- Congratulations on selecting a fine stringed instrument from House of Note.
- Each instrument is meticulously crafted from select woods, with painstaking attention paid to even the smallest detail.
- To ensure that your new instrument maintains it’s beauty and tone, here are a few useful tips we recommend:
- Wipe the rosin off the strings and body of the instrument after each session.
- Avoid exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity. (Use a humidifier in extremely dry weather).
- Always loosen the bow after each session.
- Never touch the hair of the bow with your fingers.
- Keep your instrument in a good, sturdy case.
